Backchannel emerged as a thematic news app, aggregating content on specific topics like Tesla from various sources into one space. It included a unique feature, “Consensus,” where users could vote and predict outcomes, making news consumption interactive and engaging.

We aimed to give users an edge in consuming and analyzing news by consolidating diverse media forms, from articles to podcasts. The challenge was to present this information intuitively, encouraging engagement through interactive elements like Consensus, which turned news consumption into an engaging game.

I worked on branding, onboarding, and preparing the app for its MVP launch, building out the design system and high-fidelity UI. I collaborated with developers to create a seamless, user-friendly experience from wireframes to final mockups.
